We Like Siri. We Really Like Siri.

According to a new report by Parks Associates, consumers are really digging Siri and Google Now voice capabilities, with 55% and 50% of Apple and Android smartphones users, respectively, saying they are "very" satisfied with the technologies.

"Adoption rates for voice control technologies have increased over the last year; roughly one-fifth of broadband users surveyed use either Siri or Google Now," says John Barrett, Director, Consumer Analytics, Parks Associates.

115 Million North Americans to Have Access to Multiscreen Service from Pay-TV Providers by 2016

According to Parks Associates, 115 million North American pay-TV subscribers will have access to multiscreen services from their pay-TV provider by 2016.

In addition to that forecast, the research firm predicts that 90 million subscribers in Western Europe will be able to receive these services as well by 2016. Meanwhile 50 million subscribers in both Eastern Europe and the Asia-Pacific regions will be part of the action too.

Promos Lure People Back to Pay-TV

An interesting new study conducted by Parks Associates finds that the latest wave of discounts and promotions being offered are successfully luring consumers back to pay-TV services after having cut the cord.

The study finds that 44% of customers who re-subscribed to pay-TV services in the past 18 months said a promotion was a significant reason for their return.

Smartphones to Reach 300M by 2013

Research firm Parks Associates says that annual sales of smartphones worldwide are poised for steady growth, more than doubling to 300 million by 2014 from just 131 million units in 2008.

E-Mail is Out; Instant Messaging is In
