Comcast hoping ‘skinny bundle’ ?will turn cord cutters into subscribers

The service comes as Comcast and other cable TV operators are facing cord cutters – or those who don’t subscribe to traditional cable TV bundles – and who seek fewer TV channels at lower prices.

HBO and CBS have launched streaming services outside the pay TV packages to sell to consumers unhappy with traditional pay TV bundles.

Doctors doing face-to-face house calls – over the Internet

Some believe that telemedicine will explode in upcoming years. Dallas-based Parks Associates, a company that researches technology trends, predicts that doctor-patient video consultations will nearly triple in one year, from 5.7 million this year to more than 16 million in 2015.

Headphones making a statement

A ranking released Monday by Dallas-based Parks Associates listed headphones as the No. 6 consumer electronics item, right behind video game consoles. And among consumer electronics accessories, headphones ranked as the most desired item.
