OLED TVs, which start at about $2,300, have helped LG increase its market share in the $1,000-up range to 15 per cent in a mature TV market, Gagnon said. Samsung has 51 per cent of that high-end TV market, while Sony has 21 per cent. Samsung, for instance, has an 80-inch curved 4K SUHD TV, also priced at about $20,000.

Flarion, NetGear Join Forces on High-Speed Wireless Modem ; Device Also Would Offer Users Mobility

Michael Cai, a senior analyst with Parks Associates, doesn't think Flarion will become the next Qualcomm - the company that developed wireless technology used by cellular giants Verizon Wireless and Sprint PCS, among others.
