CE consumers will turn to the cloud, Ericsson says

Cloud computing will be a big trend in consumer electronics for 2013, with more than half of tablet computer owners and 40% of smartphone users in U.S., Japan, Australia and Sweden already employing various cloud-based services, according to Ericsson ConsumerLabs. Meanwhile, Parks Associates reports that more than half of prospective smartphone purchasers plan to buy an iPhone for the holidays, compared with 33% who said so in the third quarter and 24% a year ago.
