Parks Associates Sees Social Gaming on Track to Become $5 Billion Industry by 2015

Parks Associates forecasts revenues in the social gaming market will increase by five times from 2010 to 2015, due in large part to advertising revenues and sales of virtual items. Google toying with in-game ad company buy?

Buying AdScape gives Google technology that will allow it to serve ads to yet another market, the fast-growing video and internet game industry. In-game ad revenue is expected to reach USD200 million this year and as much as USD700m by 2010, according to Parks Associates and Yankee Group Research, respectively.

WiMax to be used by 7m in 2009

According to new research, by the end of 2009 there will be 7 million subscribers globally to the much-hyped WiMax standard.
