82% Of U.S. Broadband Households Now Have An HDTV

Parks Associates is predicting that 4K TVs will follow a similar, but faster, growth pattern as HDTVs, which have reached 82% of U.S. broadband households after 15 years on the market.

The research group forecasts that 4K TVs will reach mass-market pricing in the next 2-3 years and top 80% of households in approximately 10-12 years. Apple Challenges Google's Dominance As 'IPhone 5' Looms

As Apple prepares to release its new iPhone model, new research from Parks Associates (www.ParkAssociates.com) shows the iPhone leads its rivals in customer satisfaction, with 75% of its owners "very satisfied" with their handset versus 61% of Android phone owners.

Consumers Slow To Embrace Cloud Services For Digital Media

International research firm Parks Associates reports that 22% of U.S. broadband households currently would refuse to buy a "cloud copy" of digital media, while almost 30% would require a physical copy in addition to a cloud copy

More US consumers eyeing femtocells

International research firm Parks Associates announced the results of the most comprehensive survey to date of U.S. consumer attitudes to femtocells, conducted on behalf of the Femto Forum.

The survey found that fewer than 10% of consumers were previously familiar with femtocells. That 1TB hard drive may be plenty now, but not for long

According to research firm Parks Associates, the average consumer household currently has approximately 298GB of digital media, which will reach approximately 898GB of digital media by 2012. In other words, if you have a 1TB equipped Mac today, such as iMac, it won’t be able to handle all your digital storage needs in another three years, if the gang at Parks Associates is correct.

Telco/IPTV subscribers to total almost 40 million households worldwide in 2009
