Eight percent of U.S. broadband households own a smart thermostat

Smart Home Research Director to Deliver “The Future of Energy Services Market” Presentation at SPEER Summit

Parks Associates research finds smart thermostats were the most commonly purchased smart home device of 2014, with 8% of U.S. broadband households now owning one. Smart lighting is also growing in popularity, with 7% of households having some kind of smart lighting capability. The research firm will discuss the smart home, consumer interest and adoption, and strategies to translate consumer intentions to actions at the SPEER Regional Energy Efficiency Summit in Dallas today.
