Parks Associates today announced new results from the research project Connected Consumer in Europe that reveal 33% of U.K. broadband households subscribed to an OTT video service as of 3Q 2015. The same study shows that only 15% of U.K. households with pay TV subscribe to premium movie channels.

Nearly 20% of U.K. broadband households use Netflix OTT service

Netflix use draws nearer to iTV Player and iPlayer use in the U.K. as its European adoption shows modest growth

New research from Parks Associates indicates that 18% of U.K. broadband households have used paid-service Netflix in the past 30 days, compared to 20% who used the free iTV Player and 33% who used the free iPlayer to stream video programming. Overall 58% of U.K. broadband households used a video streaming service or player within the past 30 days.
