About 25% of US smart homes experience monthly issues

Roughly 25 percent of US broadband households with smart home devices experience problems monthly, according to a new report from Parks Associates. Over 45 percent of US pay TV subscribers find cloud DVR technology very appealing, according to new research from Parks Associates. Roku leads US streaming media player market

More than 25 percent of US households will have a streaming media player by 2015, with continued robust sales and new entries such as Amazon Fire TV driving expansion of this connected consumer electronics (CE) category, according to a new report from Parks Associates. Smart TV ownership in the US to reach 42 mln by year-end

Among US households, 42 million will have a smart TV by the end of 2014, accounting for 35 percent of the 119 million TV households, according to a new report from Parks Associates. More than 50 percent of US broadband households now use paid over-the-top (OTT) video services, either subscription or transaction, according to new research from Parks Associates. Among consumers 18-24, 37 percent say online video is their most important video source. 43% of smartphone owners to use m-wallet services by 2017

Over 40 million US consumers, or 20 percent of all smartphone users, used at least one mobile proximity or mobile e-commerce wallet in 2013. Game consoles, tablets rank as most popular holiday CE gift

Gaming consoles and tablets are the most popular CE gift purchases for family members during the holiday season, according to a new report from Parks Associates.
