“Our NUMBERS™ project forecasts the U.S will exceed 100 million broadband households before the end of the year,” Sappington said. “Broadband is a foundational element for the consumer IoT and connected home. Many companies are leveraging these high-speed connections to introduce innovations and new services, including security, home control, communication, entertainment, and improved personalization. During this VC session at TIA, we will examine the new IoT areas exciting investors and how service providers can analyze current investment strategies to identify new partners and expand their service portfolio.”

Sappington will lead discussions on how money is being made in IoT, where the money is flowing, investment focus, and what investors expect to see in the next 5-10 years. Speakers include Joel Fontenot, Managing Partner, Trailblazer Capital; Aziz Gilani, Partner, Mercury Fund; and Vibhor Rastogi, Investment Director, Intel Capital.
