Parks Associates: Nearly one-half of Spanish broadband households receive local broadcast TV channels only
Content and Access Services Analyst to present new entertainment research at Broadband World Forum
New European IoT research from Parks Associates finds nearly one-half of Spanish broadband households receive only local broadcast TV channels, compared to over 60% of British and German broadband households that pay separate monthly fees for pay-TV services.
"Nearly 70% of Spanish broadband households have Internet-connected CE, and 54% have active PC-to-TV connections," said Glenn Hower, research analyst, Parks Associates. "Given that these connected consumers have easy access to broadcast and Internet content, it is difficult to sell pay-TV services in the highly competitive European markets."
Hower will highlight new European entertainment research while chairing a session during the Future Disruption track at Broadband World Forum, on Wednesday, October 22, in Amsterdam.
